St John’s Parish church. Jersey. C.I.
The first one was commissioned by the Hibbeard family and depicts” The Good shepherd”.
The second is “The Missionary window”. This window was designed to join together the countries for Brazil and Africa. The window was somewhat controversial at the time as it included images of global brands littering the street, and depicts the suffering of the young children in Brazil, and the hunger of the African people. The two panels are linked by the road, the missionary hospital, and the Rainbow which symbolises the promise of God.
The third window was commissioned by Lady Sheila Butlin, in memory of Billy Butlin. It depicts “Jesus and the little children”. There are many symbols from the Butlin family life. including the Water Rats charity, the Maple leaf of Canada, The Variety club charity, as well as a small aeroplane as Billy was also a pilot. The models for the children were Neil’s younger daughter Joanne Morticia, and her school friends.
